Visited SAW School and ELPIS  School

After 2 weeks of in-class learning and practising, we started our out-of-class learning for Situational Analysis last week.
We visited two schools who will be partnering with us this year for WH students to plan and hopefully implement community projects in. They are ELPIS school and SAW school.
Both Elpis and SAW are schools for migrant children and in the last few years, past WH students have organized and successfully implemented community projects in these schools. We're so glad to be back this year to continue partnering with Elpis and SAW to provide a better learning environment for their students.
WH students also did a preliminary evaluation of last year's WH student project in Elpis. Last year, WH students built a fence for the girls and boys dormitory because there were many cases of theft. We're happy to report that since the fence was built, there has been no cases of theft and the fence has not been giving them any problems. In case it needs repairing, teachers reported that they have the necessary knowledge and skills to make the repair.
Next week, we'll be conducting more visits and students will carry out the FIRST STEP in a community development project cycle: Situational Analysis, which means understanding and creating a profile for the community
